4th Annual Snail Mail Bingo
Happy National Letter Writing Month, friends!
I’ve been celebrating this one for a while. Back when I had my coffee shop, we had discounts on cards and free stamps during April. This is when I first clued in to the fact that sometimes it’s just availability of a stamp that can make the difference for a letter actually getting to the mailbox.
Our first Snail Mail Bingo in 2020 was hastily put together to keep us entertained during what we thought were a few weeks of quarantine. The next year, in the same spot, we adventured in place instead of taking spring break trips.
Last year, we honored Betty White and her golden gal pals with a Golden Girls theme.
This year, I’m just tired.
We’re back out and about, and I’ll admit I’ve re-adopted some of those old habits that I promised not to: overscheduling myself, not sleeping enough, etc. It’s silly.
Bingo is back, as a “greatest hits” of sorts. I grabbed some of my favorite prompts from years past and added some new ones. It’s family-friendly and great for some good-hearted competition - where senders and recipients win!
Head over to the order page to grab some postcards. Unlike years past, you get to choose which ones you want, and of course, you’ll get a stamp for each. Order 2 or more, and we’ll include a Snail Mail Bingo card.
I’ve gotten back in my postcard writing habit this month, and it has been a nice component of unraveling the busy-ness I’ve created. A pen, some paper, a stamp, and warm thoughts about a friend are a great antidote for overwhelm.
