Hello 2021!
Has a new year ever been more highly anticipated?
Let’s be clear: a flipped calendar page isn’t the magic bullet. We have a lot of work ahead of us, and the world needs you. For your loved ones, you may be facilitating home school or writing extra snail mail to stay connected. For your community, you’re hopefully masking up and giving your business to the locals.
Moving forward will require large and small efforts from everyone. We’ll learn new things and let go of old things. Both those processes are painful and necessary. We get to go through this together.
We will be brave. We will hold on to hope, and we will lean on someone else’s hope when ours feels dim. We get to go through this together.
Beginnings inspire. Commitments hold us accountable. Let the start of this new year inspire you to commit to your role in 2021. Write it down and track your progress. Write it down on a postcard to a friend, and track your progress together. We get to go through this together.
Lastly, cheer on the others who are doing their part to save the world. They need you. We get to go through this together.
